I like this. The scars should have been done in red colored pencil or red sharpie to make them pop out as scars.
I loved HM.
Have you ever thought about using a light, soft pencil to lay down things, and then going over with a darker, heavier pencil or a pen/marker to make your lines cleaner and easier to fix?
You like Heavy Metal? coolass movie. Do you think Taarna is smoking hot as is Sally as well? i remembered about 17 years ago when SatAM aired on TV as well as Heavy Metal on in fall, i had a major crush on Sally and Taarna at age 12. So i combining two of my biggest 12 year old boy crushes together.
Did you grew up with HM too MDT? i saw it on TBS back in 93 when i was 12 around the same time i watched SatAM. It was at night thanks to reading my city's TV guide then watched it loved it and also loved watching Vampire Hunter D, Robot Carnival, Rock and Rule and American Pop as well as they ruled my world.
Did you watch it on TBS or on video as a young teen too? i bought it on video when i was 15 on the first day it was finally released to see it uncut and uncensored. I had a crush on Taarna since 12 and so i decided to make this picture combining two crushes of my preteen years together.
Did you know Fifth Element and Avatar were inspired by this movie? James Cameron is a huge fan of HM the movie and HM Magazine as he used this as one of his inspirations to Avatar. Avatar did borrowed from HM, Dances with Wolves, Castle in The Sky (Laputa), Ferngully, Princess Mononoke, Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind, Fantastic Planet, LightYears (Gandahar), Willow, Starchaser Legend of Orin, Dune, SatAM, Atlantis, Pom Poko, Thundercats, Wizards and even Star Wars Trilogy to Star Trek 6 and he made a cocktail out of them as ingredients.
Sorry for responding to this so late. But to answer your long unanswered question, I saw Heavy Metal for the first time when I was 16 back in 1999. It shocked and amazed the hell out of me, and some parts of it even creeped me out and disturbed me as well. I wrote a review for Heavy Metal a while back in case you're interested in reading it. I have seen all those other movies you mentioned. And yes, I'm aware that the Fifth Element was inspired by Heavy Metal. The influences are unmistakable. I think Neytiri would make a sexy Taarna.
Not bad. Though, the coloring could use some touchup work. Just give your drawings a few extra minutes here and there and take your time with the coloring and that should greatly improve their appearance. As is, they all look like they were colored in a rush.
Thanks! so you like Heavy Metal Colnel? preety cool movie eh? do you think Taarna is such a a babe in that movie and did you know "The Fifth Element" was influenced by it?
I loved HM.

I've been trying that, and it's truly helped me.
Taarna is also quite a dish eh?
I think Sally works well with the Taarna look!
